Riccardo Orizio is an Italian author, reporter and safari guide whose books have been published in several countries. His award-winning travel narrative is mostly based on places, peoples and issues that belong to the so-called "developing world".

Born in Italy in 1961, Riccardo Orizio lived in Milan, London and Atlanta. In 2003 he settled in Africa for a "second life" with the Maasai warriors.
